LUCKY’S GOLDEN RULES FOR GETTING AROUND

February 25, 2025

Lucky the Leprechaun woke up one spring day,

In need of some gold from his pot far away.

He looked for his keys, his map, and his hat.

Then buckled his seatbelt – click! Just like that.

As Lucky maneuvered the long, winding road,

A squirrel darted past with an oversized load.

“I’ll slow down a bit to keep everyone safe,”

And tapped on the brakes to maintain a nice pace.

Stopping to rest, Lucky met with some buds,

Enjoying their beers – green with thick suds

“No, thank you,” he said, “I’ll stick with my tea, I’d like to get home safe as can be!”

Farther along, Lucky’s phone gave a ring.

“I can’t look right now – I’ll miss everything!”

He kept both hands on the wheel and his eyes up ahead,

“I’ll check on who called when I get there instead.”

At last, he arrived at his big pot of gold,

Its shimmering coins a sight to behold.

“Safe driving habits got me here today,”

Knowledge and patience were paving the way.

So when you drive, every time – use these rules, too:

Slow down, use your seat belt and think it all through.

Don’t drive distracted, and never impaired,

And you’ll arrive safely, no matter where!
